I very rarely buy full size high end products, I just find them way too expensive and can't get myself to pay £40 for a foundation! If it was one that I loved and wore everyday maybe I would, but I use makeup most for when I'm just practicing so I prefer to use really good cheaper ones. However, quite a lot of makeup brands do mini's now(maybe they always did and I just didn't know about it!) and I've built up a little collection of them now, I just find it much less of a commitment, I know its probably not getting the most for my money, but with how much of the product I tend to use before it goes out of date, I'd probably end up wasting money anyway. At least with these mini's I can use them, see if I love it, if I don't, I haven't wasted a full product, and if I do find myself getting through it at a good speed, I can pay the full amount and know I'm going to use it!

Benefit Cosmetics do loads of mini's, I'd been wanting to buy the Hoola Bronzer for ages, but couldn't get myself to pay the full price for the amount I use it, I've been using the mini for months now and still haven't hit pan! Same story with the High Beam highlighter, I think this is the perfect little size as I just use it as a liquid highlight on my cheekbones occasionally. I actually got 3 of these Benefit mini's as part of a deal from boots, the third item I got was the Porefessional Pearl Primer, this does go down a little quicker and I don't think I have much left, but I swap primers so often that I'm still glad I chose to get the mini.

I love MAC products, but again find them so expensive, £17 for a lipstick just seems so much when I tend to wear a different one most times I do my makeup, this adorable little mini one was just £10, I actually got it for £1.60, as I used my points saved up from Glossybox surveys, and honestly, how often do people actually see the bottom of a lipstick? I've probably used a full one twice in my life, if that. This one is in the shade 'Twig' and its the perfect pinky nude, I think it looks lovely with a load of clear gloss on top.

I'm no longer subscribed to Glossybox, but when I was, they tended to send a lot of sample sized products, so this is where I got the Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara, and The Balm Meet Matt(e) Trimony Eyeshadow in 'Matt Kumar' and I love both of these, clearly this rust red is the best eyeshadow in the palette anyway! I already have similar shades to the other colours in the palette so I'm so glad they sent this one, I've found myself reaching for it quite a lot since getting it. The mascara is great, but just as with most makeup, I use lots of different mascaras so I still haven't reached the end of this, although it probably is ready for throwing away now, which makes me even more glad I don't usually buy full sized products!

Lastly, I got gifted the Benefit 'Homemade Hotness' Full Face Makeup Set for Christmas and I've found myself reaching for the Gimme Brow nearly everytime I do makeup, so I think I probably will buy the full sized version once I run out, which I'm pretty close to. This set also has some of the most loved Benefit products in and I love testing them out! So yeah, try before you buy I guess!
