I'm not usually one to be all up in the runway trends and things but I have seen that some of the makeup trends for this season are some good ones! I love the blue eyeliner that's around at the minute, so I did some research to find out what else was in for this summer time!

I went on quite a few webpages and a very common theme for this spring and summer seems to be the 'no makeup' makeup look, and dewy, hydrated skin, which I love, so of course one of the main things needed is a good moisturiser! The one in the picture is 'Celestial' by Lush. I think, either mixing a highlighter in with a nice dewy foundation, or just putting it on the highlights of your face after foundation will achieve a gorgeous dewy, healthy look. In the photo, the highlighter is the Seventeen 3 Way 'Wow' Highlighter. The Rimmel Match Perfection Illuminating Concealer would also be a staple for this look, in my opinion, to brighten the face and the under eyes.

I'm sure you've seen by now that the pop of blue is in for the spring, and there's been lots of beautiful tutorials on different ways to do it, I just went for the easiest way I could think of, which was to press some blue eyeshadow onto my bottom lashline with an angled brush, and I actually liked the result! I used an old No 7 Eyeshadow Palette.

I was so excited when I read that dark lips were in for this summer and spring? I'm a huge fan of dark berry lips, but they tend to be associated with winter, so the fact that I can wear my Rimmel Apocolips Lip Lacquer in 'Eclipse' through summer and be up on the trends sounds good to me.

Another lip trend that I found interesting was bright colour on the inside of the lips, sort of gradually getting lighter to the outside, I think a lip stain would be perfect for this! Dab a little in the middle of your lips and just let it spread out, to get a gorgeous gradual lip effect.

With the bright eye trends, there seems to also be a common nude lip look, I don't actually have many nude lipsticks/lipglosses but I do have a lot of light pink ones! Which also I saw a bit of, so the Maybelline Color Sensational Color Elixr in 'Blucsh Essence' would be perfect.
