Biscuits
There's nothing quite like a lovely, crumbly, homemade biscuit dipped in dark chocolate dunked in your cup of tea. I'd never managed to get a crunchy, good textured biscuit before, they'd always been a little too soft, until I found this recipe! It takes some doing to get it into a dough consistency, but that's what makes it lovely and crumbly when they're baked! Delicious!
Cheesecake
I kind of used a Nigella recipe as a base for my cheesecake, I found there was too much biscuit and not enough topping in her recipe so I altered it until I got something I liked, my cheesecake always goes down a storm and everyone seems to love it! I'm now requested to make them for parties and get togethers, so that is a good sign! I've tried a few different topping variations and even added melted dark chocolate to create a chocolate cheesecake, but personally, I prefer traditional!
Scones
You just can't beat a traditional British scone, with clotted/whipping cream and jam, pure bliss. I love love love making homemade scones with sultanta's, whipping up a bowl of cream and placing a swipe of jam on top. Everyone in my house loves them, I've tried them with and without sultanta's and they're delicious both ways. How do you have your scone? Jam then cream or cream then jam?
Chocolate Buns
Buns have always been one of my favourite things to make, I have a little plug in cupcake maker that I got years ago as a Christmas presents and it's a genius invention! I've made hundreds of buns in it, but chocolate is by far one of my favourites. Chocolate bun with a chocolate butter cream frosting and a cherry on top! Perfect, I also recently tried a Nutella cream cheese frosting by just mixing half Nutella, half cream cheese together and swiping it on top of the cupcake with a knife, yummy!
