As I've mentioned many times on my blog, I have quite bad dry skin, and after years of not knowing why my skin looked worse when I was wearing mattifying foundations, I have picked up a few tips to help my skin look a little better.

I think one of the first ways is by using a hydrating serum that moisturises and illuminates the skin giving it a glow from the start. Also a good way to keep the makeup in place, and to keep your skin looking fresh and dewy is a hydrating face spray, it also means you might not have to use a powder to keep the makeup in place.

I think using the less powder on dry skin the better, so I love using a lipstick or lip crayon on the cheeks to add blush. Another tip I have found if you suffer from dry lips too, is to always look for, hydrating glossy lipsticks to help keep them moisturised and add a shine.

Lastly, sticking to liquid concealers that are light and creamy helps to be light on the skin and not cling to dry patches and brighten up the face. And that's it.
