5 Ways To Improve Your Mood On A Bad Day!

I think we all have days where we feel down, not always for a reason, just down in general, I know I do. Here are a few things I do to improve my mood! I'm not a therapist or anything but I do have experience of down days. Just remember a bad day doesn't mean a bad life, tomorrows a whooole new day!

1. Play With A Pet
This is definietly the first thing I do when feeling down, it's probably impossible to play with an adorable dog and a toy in the sunshine(as pictured above!) and not smile!

2. Music
This seems like such an obvious one, but it's obvious for a reason, music can completely change your mood. It's easy when you're feeling down to put 'Chasing Cars' on and dwell in your sadness. I'm definitely guilty of it! But instead, try putting your headphones in and making a playlist of upbeat songs that you just cannot help but dance to, maybe old classics from the 80's or just songs you're loving now. Currently 'Sugar' by Maroon 5 works for me, I can't help but sing along at the top of my voice.

3.  Make Your Self Feel Nice
For me, when I'm sat around on a day with nothing to do and I'm wearing no makeup and sweats, I tend to feel more down after so many cups of tea. Try putting on your favourite makeup look, or trying out new ones, put an outfit on  that makes you feel great, even if you're not going anywhere, take photo's maybe, I know seems silly but I find if I look nice, I tend to be in a better mood.

4. List Of Positives
I Think we're all a little guilty of concentrating on the negatives in life instead of the positives. We remember when our hair dryer didn't work and our hair was a mess, but don't usually appreciate when it did go right. Write a list of as many things that have been good about that day, for example,  had a lovely meal that you enjoyed, got your winged eye-liner looking fab, someone told you your hair looked nice, anything! It seems cheesy but it helps :)

5. Tv Shows
This one probably also seems obvious but sometimes the best thing can be to snuggle on the sofa with your dog and a cup of tea and watch 'Friends'. Try to steer clear of the murder mysteries for a few hours when you're feeling down and watch a show you can't help but laugh hysterically to. 2 Broke Girls is one of my favourites.

Hang in there, it will get better. I hope some of these helped some one.
